I have a BA in Communications from the University of Delaware and a Masters in Education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education, with an emphasis on Early Childhood Literacy. I taught Pre-School, Kindergarten, and First Grade for 7 years at Irving School in Highland Park, NJ. I then taught K-2 at St. Catharine's School in Spring Lake, NJ as well as organized all of their weekly School Masses for 8 years. I implemented and managed Art Smart and a weekly Children's Liturgy Program. I have also developed and run a successful birthday party business - which can be viewed at www.kidspartiesbymissmichelle.com.
I am delighted to now put my energy and enthusiasm into the classrooms at Christ Our King-Stella Maris School. Being given the opportunity to teach a third 4K class this year is a dream come true! I have worked very hard preparing a developmentally appropriate classroom and look forward to working with each of my students moving each of them forward one year's growth. I also very much look forward to Art classes in the afternoons which will be in my classroom - room 104.
When I am not teaching or running birthday parties I am spending time with my husband Chris (my sweetheart of 21 years), my daughter Kayla (15), my sons Christopher (13), Matthew (10), John (8), and my rescued dog Bear.
