Mission Statement of Christ Our King – Stella Maris School

Our mission is to serve the East Cooper Catholic Community by providing an outstanding Catholic education for students in Pre-Kindergarden through Grade 8 in the parishes of Christ Our King, Stella Maris and St. Benedict. Based on the teachings of Jesus, the School strives to inspire the whole child by promoting an educational philosophy characterized by charity, respect and outreach. Through strong programs in academics, fine arts, stewardship and athletics, both staff and students are challenged to fully explore their talents, to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge to interact with the complex global world around them, and to lead active faith-filled lives as true disciples of Christ.

Our Vision

To provide an outstanding 21st century Catholic education and to inspire the whole child by promoting an educational philosophy characterized by charity, respect and outreach to all people on this earth.

Our Core Values

Faith in Our Children

Hope for Their Future

Love for One Another

At Christ Our King - Stella Maris School we believe that it is our children who are the inheritors of the earth. Our commitment is to teach them first and foremost to live with an abiding Faith in God and to value and respect each and every human being in God’s creation. Our students know that they must appreciate and use the gifts that they have been given for the good of all and for the glory of God. We strive always to become academically excellent, to foster their spiritual, physical and emotional growth and most of all to love one another. It is a lofty goal, but together, it is something we can do. As our student body prays every morning:

God brought us together

We need one another

We care for one another

We forgive one another

We work together

We play together

We worship together

Together we use God’s word

Together we grow in Christ

Together we serve our God

Together We hope for heaven

These are our hopes and ideals

Help us attain them, O God

Through Jesus Christ Our Lord

Amen
