Christ Our King – Stella Maris school has a tradition dating back to 1950 of providing our students a well- rounded Catholic education. As our Mission Statement reads: “Our Mission is to serve the East Cooper Catholic Community by providing an outstanding Catholic education for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade in the parishes of Christ Our King, Stella Maris, St. Benedict and St. Clare of Assisi. Based on the teachings of Jesus, the school strives to inspire the whole child by promoting an educational philosophy characterized by charity, respect and outreach. Through strong programs in academics, fine arts, stewardship and athletics, both staff and students are challenged to fully explore their talents, to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge to interact with the complex world around them, and to lead active faith-filled lives as true disciples of Christ.”
COKSM is accredited by AdvancED (formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – SACS), earned the status of National Blue Ribbon School in 2009, and has been voted Best Private School in the area for several years running.
COKSM offers our students a safe environment, a faith filled rigorous curriculum which includes our weekly Wednesday School Mass and numerous service project opportunities, our Student Success Program (see Academics section of website) and a whole host of extracurricular programs including:

*Students in grades 7 and 8 are eligble to play sports at Bishop England High School, if that sport is not offered at COKSM.
